Hard to photograph the silence...keep trying!

I was born on the volcanic island of Fogo in Cabo Verde, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Inspired by the oceans and the mountains, I've been passionate about photography from an early age.
Between 2001 and 2011, I refined my personal style, coming to the conclusion which means, that photography represents art and symbolizes my being as a person and a citizen, giving life to my photos while leaving others to interpret my "click". I am most attracted to the contrast of light and human expression.
Photography as an art form should always be creative, framed by a concept or vision of the photographer. In other words, the photographer must always be an integral part of the composition, conveying a certain mystery and considering the viewer's perspective.
Most of the time, the photographer creates a great challenge for himself; other times, a certain disappointment. However, in creating one's own style, the photographer's vision will always be reflected through the subjects. Therefore, our perception and appreciation of the world around us must be directly linked to our own modus operandi.
